Trix H0: 21337 "Karlsruhe Train" S-Bahn Prototype.
Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) shuttle train: class 141 248-5
electric locomotive and three commuter cars. Type Abnrz 704, 1st and
2nd class, type Bnrz 725, 2nd class, and type BDnrzf 740, 2nd class
with an engineer's cab. Modernized cars from older "Silberlingen"
/ "Silver Coins" cars.
Model: There are electrical connections between the cars and the locomotive,
and the power pickup and the headlights / marker lights change between
the locomotive and the cab control car, depending on the direction of
travel. The headlights and marker lights for the train change over with
the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can
be controlled digitally. The locomotive has a DCC/Selectrix digital
decoder and a controlled can motor with a bell-shaped armature and a
flywheel. 4 axles powered. 2 traction tires. The locomotive has separately
applied metal grab irons. It also has interior details for the engineer's
cabs. The locomotive has separately applied roof walks. The triple headlights
(maintenance-free warm white LEDs) and dual red marker lights (maintenance-free
LEDs) change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional
operation and can be controlled digitally. Electric locomotive operating
sounds with the "fire cracker" sound, lights at the ends of
the locomotive, and acceleration and braking delay, and a whistle sound
and the sound of brakes squealing can be controlled digitally. There
is a figure of a locomotive engineer in Cab 1. The locomotive has detailed
buffer beams. It also has NEM coupler pockets and a close coupler mechanism.
The cab control car has triple white headlights (maintenance-free warm
white LEDs) and dual red marker lights (maintenance-free LEDs) that
change over with the direction of travel. It also has a lighted destination
sign that can be controlled digitally with the headlights / marker lights.
Total length over the buffers 1,026 mm / 40-3/8".
One-time series.
The Karlsruhe Train - The Experimental S-Bahn. The use of the much
praised class ET 420 was not convincing in the Rhine-Ruhr area. There
were longer routes to cover and passengers did not at all like the lack
of toilets. The DB reacted to the many complaints by placing a locomotive-hauled
S-Bahn train into service. In the mid-Seventies the Karlsruhe maintenance
facility developed prototypes for a shuttle train from three Silberlingen
/ Silver Coins commuter cars. The cars were equipped with swinging-sliding
doors with electromagnetic door locks and a permanent entrance that
limited its use in the route network since a station platform of at
least 76 cm / 30" was a requirement. The interior of the cars was
designed to be more manageable and the baggage area was done away with
in the cab control car in favor of more seats. The cars were painted
in the color scheme for that time of ocean blue / beige, but in reverse,
which clearly differentiated the train from the rest of the DB rolling
stock. In addition, several standard Silberlinge / Silver Coins cars
were also adapted by the Karlsruhe maintenance facility and were used
as reserve cars. The Hagen 141 248-5 was selected as motive power, and
it was given an unusual, asymmetrical paint scheme to go with the train.
It made the train look like a complete unit. In the rough and ready
everyday existence of S-Bahn trains the Karlsruhe train was not successful
basically because the locomotive did not have enough acceleration. The
cars were then put back into normal service rather quickly and the German
Federal Railroad used the experience with the Karlsruhe train to develop
the type "x" cars, which still form the backbone of the commuter
service in the Ruhr area. These cars run in trains of 3-5 cars, usually
pulled by the class 111 or class 143.

Trix H0: 22212 Diesel Switch Engine.
Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class V 90 heavy switch engine.
Version as originally delivered. B-B wheel arrangement. Use: Switching
work, hump yard work, freight service on short routes.
Model: Era III. The locomotive frame and the main part of the body are
die-cast metal. The locomotive has a 21-pin digital connector. It has
a compact design, maintenance-free can motor with a flywheel, centrally
mounted. 4 axles powered through cardan shafts. 2 traction tires. The
lighting is done with maintenance-free LEDs. The triple headlights (warm
white LEDs) and dual red marker lights (LEDs) will work in conventional
operation. The lights can be controlled digitally after a 66839 decoder
has been installed. There is a representation of the engineer's cab
interior. The locomotive has separately applied metal grab irons. Additional
steps are included. The locomotive has NEM coupler pockets. Length over
the buffers 164 mm / 6-7/16".

Trix H0: 22634 Electric Locomotive.
Prototype: LNVG Niedersachsen class 146.2 electric locomotive painted
and lettered for Metronom Railroad Company, Inc. Built starting in 2005
by Bombardier as a regular production locomotive from the TRAXX type
program. Road no. ME 146-18. Use: Fast regional passenger service.
Model: Era V. The locomotive frame is die-cast metal. The locomotive
has a 21-pin digital connector. It also has a 5-pole motor with a skewed
armature and a flywheel, centrally mounted. 4 axles powered through
cardan shafts. The headlights are maintenance-free, warm white LEDs,
and they will work in conventional operation. The headlights can be
turned off in digital operation at the end of the locomotive with Cab
1 or 2. The locomotive has detailed roof equipment. The engineer's cabs
have interior details, and there is a figure of engineer in the front
cab. The locomotive has NEM coupler pockets with a guide mechanism.
Brake hoses in a long and a short version and buffer beam details are
included in a bag so that the front of the locomotive can be fully equipped
for display or equipped for operation. Length over the buffers 217.2
mm / 8-9/16".
One-time series.
TRAXX FROM TRIX Locomotives from the TRAXX type family built by Bombardier
are in operation everywhere in Europe today. In 1994, the AEG experimental
12X locomotive appeared, which then underwent testing as road no. 128
001 on the DB. The knowledge gained from this went into the development
of the class 145, which was placed into service on the DB starting in
1998 as a freight locomotive with a maximum speed of 140 km/h / 88 mph.
Eighty locomotives were built for the DB and additional units for the
Swiss Mittelthurgau Railroad, which were used in the end on the SBB
as the class Re 481. There are several other class 145 locomotives on
privately owned railroads. The class 146.0 for commuter service was
derived from the class 145; the most noticeable feature of the former
is the train destination sign on the end of the locomotive. The class
146.0 is designed for 160 km/h / 100 mph and also has a time-multiplex
push/pull train control system. The real success story began in 2000
however. Bombardier introduced the multiple system version: The class
185 was also designed for the power current systems of neighboring railroads.
A total of 400 units of the class 185 are to be purchased. Depending
on the country they will be used in, the locomotives are being equipped
with the correct train safety systems and with electrical equipment
as a "package". So, there are locomotives with two or four
pantographs and different contact wiper widths as the most noticeable
external difference. There are also many class 185.1 locomotives on
private railroads. And, there is a class 146.1 160 km/h / 100 mph fast
version of this locomotive for commuter service. The TRAXX family locomotives
delivered starting in 2005 formed the next evolutionary step on European
railroads: They were equipped with locomotive bodies with improved ability
to withstand crashes; the shape of these locomotive bodies looks more
powerful and brawnier at the ends. Other changes have to do with the
electrical rectifier layout. Railion is presently putting 200 of these
locomotives into service as the class 185.2. There is also a commuter
service version of this locomotive for 160 km/h / 100 mph, the class
146.2. These locomotives are currently being used as motive power for
the latest bi-level trains in the areas of Stuttgart, Freiburg, and
Nürnberg. The new Trix models are reproductions of these latest
versions of the locomotives on the German Railroad, Inc. The development
of the TRAXX locomotives is continuing in the prototype; you will continue
to hear a lot from Trix about these locomotives translated uncompromisingly
into 1/87 scale ....

used by the Metronom Railroad Company, Inc. Type DABpbzkfa. Car number:
10007. Use: Regional express trains.
Model: Era V. This car has highly detailed construction with multi-color
and multi-part interior details specific to the car. All of the dimensions
are reproduced to scale. Minimum radius for operation 358 mm / 14-1/8"
(with free clearance). As delivered from the factory, the front skirting
is closed and can be removed, and a coupler is included for the engineer's
cab end of the car. Long and short brake hoses are included in a bag
so that you can equip the buffer beams completely prototypically for
display or equip them for operation. The car has many separately applied
details. The headlights / marker lights on the cab control car are maintenance-free,
warm white or red LEDs that change over with the direction of travel.
The car has a lighted destination sign at one end. A set of lettering
with different train destinations is included. The side train destination
signs can be lit up with the optional interior lighting kit. The car
is ready for installation of two lighting kits, item no. 66719. Length

all over Geramny for almost 15 years. Initially as licensed cars from
the Swiss car builder Schindler, the former German Waggonbau, Inc. in
Görlitz developed its own bi-level cars starting in 1994. Several
series were developed over time that offered an increasingly larger
variety of possible variations to buyers. The models now realized by
Trix represent the third and newest generation of bi-level cars, which
is recognizable externally from particularly narrow window separation.
Other new features are a slightly more angled roof shape and air-tight
doors at the ends of the cars.

Trix H0: 24204 Set with 12 Freight Cars in the Display "Der Lange
Heinrich"/"Long Henry".
Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) type Fads-50/OOtz high capacity
hopper car. Used in unit trains to transport ore between Emden and Rheine.
Late Era III.
Model: The saddle, frame, and end platforms for the cars are made of
metal. The cars have different lettering and car numbers. The load inserts
have a layer of real scale sized iron ore. The cars are weathered. They
have NEM coupler pockets and close coupler mechanisms. Length over the
buffers for each car 133 mm / 5-1/4", coupled together 1,5960 mm
/ 62-13/16". Each car comes individually packaged and marked: 24204-01
through 24204-12.

Each loaded car from the display is available separately. 700150 (Märklin)

the model of the "Langen Heinrich" / "Long Henry"

Trix H0: "Huntsche" Large Coaling Station.
Prototype: "Huntsche" large coaling station based on the prototype
in Saarbrücken, Germany. Almost identical coaling stations of this
type also existed in Munich and Vienna.
Model: Professional quality model of the "Huntsche" large
coaling station in Saarbrücken, Germany with all of the parts ready
for assembly of the complete model. The parts for the steel framework,
the handrails, grab irons, and the walkways are laser-cut precisely
from special architectural quality, hard finish card stock. The steps
are made of plastic. The underside is cast in plastic and is to a large
extent already assembled. The coaling station has working lamps that
are already assembled. All of the parts are already finished in a realistic
basic color, but they can easily be weathered and painted further. Dimensions
of the finished model approximately: length 553 mm / 22", width
300 mm / 12", height 223 mm / 9".

Trix H0: 66222 Roller Test Stand for H0 Gauge, with 4 Pairs of Roller
Brackets.
This is for servicing and presenting locomotives with up to 4 driving
axles and coupled axles. It is ideal for models of the class 03, class
18.3, class S 3/6. It is made of anodized aluminum sections. Four adjustable
pairs of roller brackets with precision ball bearings are included.
C Track is included for positioning non-powered axles. The test stand
has train power connections for a conventional power pack and for the
Digital System. Dimensions 400 x 42 x 30 mm / 15-3/4" x 1-5/8"
x 1-3/16".

Trix H0: 66849 1800 Milliamp Decoder for 21-Pin Connector.
Receiver for all Trix H0 direct current locomotives with a 21-pin connector
and a power consumption of up to 1,800 milliamps (motor 1,100 milliamps;
auxiliary functions 1 3, LV and LR a total of 400 milliamps,
auxiliary function 4, 300 milliamps). This electronic circuit has a
total of 4 controllable functions. The "function" output is
intended for headlights / marker lights. The headlights and marker lights
can be turned off at engineer's cab 1 or engineer's cab 2 on locomotives
with circuit boards specifically designed for these locomotives. Also,
the double "A" light for switching maneuvers can also be activated
on such locomotives. The auxiliary functions can be controlled with
the Mobile Station or a DCC main controller. Can be used universally
in Selectrix and DCC formats. Automatic digital system and analog

It is made of anodized aluminum sections. Eight adjustable pairs of
roller brackets with precision ball bearings are included. Track is
included for positioning non-powered axles. The useful length for the
roller brackets is about 220 mm / 4-11/16". The 66723 expansion
set of a pair roller brackets is available for using locomotives with
